Reason To Smile Sneek Peek!

I was so excited to hear that there are two awesome new Stampin' Up! offers coming for June - one of which involves FREE rubber! I also wanted to take part in this months sketch challenge on Craft Project Central and here's the sneak peak result.......

I combined making my own designer paper using the two step stamps with some fussy cutting and Twitterpated designer paper & Baker's twine. I love the look of the square lattice folder - what's your favourite embossing folder?

Stamps: Reason to Smile, Every Moment
Ink: Basic Gray, Cherry Cobbler, Blushing Bride, Baja Breeze, Pear Pizzaz
Card Stock: Whisper White, Twitterpated designer paper, Basic Gray
Accessories: Dimensionals, Big Shot, Square Lattice Folder, Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine, blender pen, stamping sponge, paper snips.

Last of the May Swaps!

Here are the last, but definitely not least of our May team swaps, all incorporating items from the new Autumn-Winter mini catalogue which runs until the 31st July 1011. Of course if you would like to earn some of these stamp sets and accessories for free why not take advantage of THE best hostess reward offer we have seen in the 5 years of Stampin' Up! being in Australia - from now until the 30th of June you can get a bonus $70 in hostess reward dollars, for every workshop party over $450 inclusive of GST & shipping (details are here).

Samantha has used the hostess level 1 In Color designer papers to make these super cute treat pillow boxes (yes they did contain chocolate - past tense as my boys got to it!). Gorgeous water colouring and the decorative label punch is so nice framing itself in a complimentary colour.

Cathie made the pillow box die into a little handbag - love the different ideas you can get from swapping - can't wait until the regional training day in September - for the first time I WILL be making swaps (if I start now I might beat the time anemia I normally suffer from!). The designer paper is from Sunny Garden and the Eat Chocolate stamp set and decorative punch (told you we all loved that punch and stamp set!).

This one was made by Michelle, using my favourite new Big Shot die - Tasteful Trim - so nice, it does a full 12" cut so perfect for scrapbooking, wrapping around boxes and of course on cards. This pattern on the die (there are four different ones) is also really cool as waves for beach themes. The flowers are all hand cut from Petal Pizzazz....thats a lot of cutting! Isn't the paper lovely - it's from the Play Date designer paper pack.

Every Moment - Watercolour Daisy Card

Well I joined around 200 enthusiastic Stampin' Up! demonstrators and guests yesterday for the annual Regional Training event, it was so much fun! There were some amazing presentations by fellow local demonstrators and also from head office in Sydney and America. We got four lovely projects to make and take on the day (which is a really nice change as normally we're the ones cutting kits for our own classes), a beautiful new stamp set from the new catalogue called Every Moment (WM 121508 $31.95, CM 120522$25.95), a yummy lunch, new resources, some creative ladies did some wonderful swap items - sadly due to time anemia I didn't get to participate in the later - but I fully intend to next year as my goodness there are some very talented demonstrators out there!

This was the first of the make and take projects we made on the day:

It focused on masking and watercolouring and was a very simple, but effective card (of course I also had to decorate my envelope - I'm allergic to naked envelopes, I think they help brighten up postal workers days!). Isn't the new daffodil delight a gorgeous colour? I can't wait for my order containing it to arrive as it's just a lovely colour (perfect for my "yellow" themed scrapbook pages I am making in a class in November - for details go to my website and check my calendar of events for details). Doesn't the torn water colour paper look divine when it's sponged? Here's a close up of it:

Stamps: Every Moment
Ink: Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Soft Suede (ink pad & marker), Jet Black Stazon
Card stock: Old Olive, Very Vanilla, Soft Suede & Watercolour paper
Accessories: Post-it note, Daffodil Delight 3/8" taffeta ribbon, Old Olive 1/8" taffeta ribbon, Clips assortment, SNAIL, Aqua painter, Bone folder, Colour Spritzer Tool, Scallop Edge border punch, paper snips, Stamp-a-ma-jig, stamping sponge.
